Rachael Thompson Panik, AICP

PhD Student, Georiga Institute of Technology

Rachael is a Ph.D. student at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. She hails from Fort Payne, Alabama, and she’s been educated across the southeast. Her research and work are driven by a singular belief — that transportation shapes who we have the chance to become, and that all people deserve safe mobility. Now, her research centers on safety assessment and activity estimation of vulnerable roadway users, like bicyclists, pedestrians, scooter users, and more.
